From what I have read all around the Net, Absent seem to be spearheading a revival of absorption in the new wave of young death metal groups. Actually, it’s too soon to say if these Polish newcomers will be a sensation worth a note, but considering their future development in the style they are now exploring they can turn out to be a well-kept diamond. 4 tracks with a production that doesn’t take anything away from Absent’s brutality and a bunch of lads that have learned the art of producing racy, ultra-fast death metal. I was take aback by their professionalism and more than just decent knack, because as early as the first track kicks in, the music breaks out a real hell on earth. Hell, that is only available for followers of Incantation (dark, dirty atmosphere), Hate Eternal (guitar-work) and Nile (speed and drumming). It’s a shame not to know about them.

It’s common for split-cd’s that the bands featured differ in the term of quality. World of Shit, unfortunately, ain’t so overwhelming as opposed to Absent, but it doesn’t mean they should be left out. The thing is, their death metal machine is not yet prepared enough to set out alone on the dreadful waters of musical activity. I can’t bash them though, for their songs are competent and decent. I wouldn’t herald anything big coming out of the band soon though, because World of Shit lacks a leitmotif that would push them forward and make them stand out from a thousand of parallel gropus. I advise them to improve the songwriting and choose a better studio next time they are recording something. That’s that.
