Teardown: Cyanotic

23/10/08  ||  Kampfar

I’m a big fan of tearing shit down, perhaps the most enthusiastic out there, but when it comes to Teardown I’m fucking immune. Then again, even though I’m incompatible with the music at hand, my brain is ace enough to judge if we are speaking a quality band or not.

Not exactly, and here is the answer why: They know their instruments and sport a decent sound, blah, blah, blah, and here is another one, blah. The reason for this insane amount of blah-ing comes down to this lot being incredibly uninteresting. In fact, the only time they doesn’t sound as following a sketch-book, to the very last word, is every time Ms. Katja stretch her talent beyond flat. Apart from those departures into sourness, namely, here is little else to write home about.

Fuck you guys and girls, “Cyanotic” doesn’t sound like something made from the heart, more like shit put together in a vain hope of getting famous. However, and I know best, I really doubt sounding as Nightwish without the fanfare and theater will get you there.

If you fancy toothless metal with hardly any tops or bottoms, sporting a soundingly soft and tender gal on vocals, indulge yourself. Oh, in the name of predictability they ofcourse come with a woman on keyboards as well.

Fy faen.
