I consider myself a major fan of your work, so it is with some degree of shame that I admit ignorance that the process of the ninth opus had begun. And you've been posting about it since May. I'm sorry K. I shall endeavor to more attentive in the future. _________________ Nothing but abyss can save us

When it's eventually released in physical form, can we refer to the disc itself as "The Ninth Circle Of Hell"? _________________ Nothing but abyss can save us

Hi K, I've two questions regarding the writing of the next album :
do you already have some guest members in mind, or will it come when all the songs are written?
This leads to the second question :
do you write parts especially for one guest, or do you write the song as one whole part and then think about who will sing some parts of it? (this one isn't very clear, but I just don't know how to properly write it - my English sucks, haha!) _________________ The dead know only one thing : it is better to be alive... |

I have some people in mind, yes. The ones I would fucken die to include is pretty impossible to get though, I'm sure. People like Vanessa Carlton, Yngwie and Liam Howlett, haha... But yes, I have a few people I'd like to participate. We'll see if any guest spots appear or not, it all depends on how I feel about it later on.

I never write a part particularly for a guest. It might change with this album though.

Maybe they actually like TPH, and are waiting for a phone call! Kidding apart, as I suppose you're still on SoM, maybe they could arrange something, as they're quite big nowadays - I assume they may have quite big contacts in the music industry by now (Mika's always been a good business developper).

And now I'll be more and more curious and impatient... _________________ The dead know only one thing : it is better to be alive... |

I haven't heard anything on the contrary, but I haven't heard anything about them wanting to release the next album either, though I have asked quite a few times about this without getting a reply, so... We'll see, I guess. Nothing surprises me in this business anymore.
On topic: The writing for the 4th song has begun. _________________

Oh, Jolly good. Nothing better to help me move in to my new FOREIGN HOME than a new album being sent to my new FOREIGN ADDRESS.
How fucking splendid. |

I'd forgotten that swedes had a real thing for the american Old West. Never seen a swedish western, but they apparently hold some cult status.
So, any hangmen appearing in this blazing prairie? _________________ Nothing but abyss can save us

While reading all those updates, I'm wondering : where the fuck do you draw your inspiration from? It's just incredible. And also pretty good, meaning that another masterpiece will be out one day... _________________ The dead know only one thing : it is better to be alive... |

At the moment I am as puzzled as you are where it fucken comes from, seriously. I love when that shit happens, though. I just piss out riffs and ideas now. Just a few months back I thought it'd take quite some time before I would start writing for the next album, considering I am so satisfied with it the new material needs to be fucken insane. And here I am, more than half of the next damn thing is written musicwise and I still have no idea where the fuck it all comes from. It's just there...
And it's beautiful. _________________

I think so. Being now what one would call a fan of TPH (not a die hard though, as I just got into the band with The Lustrate Process), it's really impressive - and also a pleasure - to know that the next opus is going very smoothly on its way. It makes me think that 2012 will offer me another album that I'd be able to listen for hours, and on each single listening session I'd discover small parts that I didn't paid attention to at the first time, because it's what makes TPH so fascinating in some way : something that one needs to get deeply into to be able to get it.
And again, thanks a lot for all those fucken updates, at least we know what's going on with the band, which is, to my mind, something really interesting to people like me.

I want the ones who give a fuck about this band to know what's happening, so the pleasure is all mine with the updates presented. And to hear you are discovering small things with each and every listen is sweet music to my ears, since that is my plan. I want that to happen to people who really take the time to devour what we do. There's so much depth to what we do and it's definitely not for everyone to understand.
And about the next album, as I have stated before: I have no idea when it will be recorded and/or released. I haven't even heard shit from Season Of Mist about they wanting to release it or not. And trust me, I have asked. I guess they'll let me know eventually. Not that it matters much, coz I need to write this music.
And, man... Thanx for giving a shit. _________________
