Glad you like the teaser. I could have fired up some real intricate part with tons of orchestras and whatnot, but thought "-Nah... I'll save those things for later, hehe...".

Have this in mind when it comes to the wait though: Was this album to be released on some fucken label, it would take some 3 months from the moment we are finished until you get to hear it. Now, with you guys donating to make this recording a reality, you will get it as soon as I am done with it. No needless wait at all.
I know - awesome.
And thanx for the words on the bass. I am really satisfied with how that exact part turned out myself, haha...

I was thinking about "Beyond the grace of God" from "Heaven Shall Burn...When We Are Gathered" (1996) album.
Rather hard to hear the bass line in a shitty Youtube-clip, but it's there: Maduk - Beyond The Grace Of God
You might perhaps here the bass line I was thinking about during the first 30 second of the song. That shit surely is more audible when listening to the actual album through a pair of headphones.

...teaser sounds so awesome, especially when you have it looped and get a feeling of that 0:16-0:30 riff playing continiously... I think I can even imagine how majestic it is in the tune...
And, by the way, since you'll own all the rights for this album, is there a chance that you'll ever release instrumental versions of one or two tracks from it? I don't know for sure, but for Dan to make them would be probably just to disable the vocal tracks - and they are done...
If it's more complicated than I think, then of course there's not much sense in doing the instrumentals... but then, perhaps, some demos? The sound quality of this teaser is really sweet.
This could be a digital download that could be additionally purchased from the site or something like that... |
