In case you wanna ask me anything about how I got started playing, who my early influences were, etc etc... I suggest you check out this massive interview made a few years back. It holds most of those answers. If you can't find what you are looking for in there, post the question here and I'll try to answer it.
The interview:
Spudd is Teh Shit.
If you wanna know what gear I use:

I know that you have discussed when you started playing and shit, I was curious if you ever took lessons (or music classes) or are you primarily self taught?
I started out self taught, ended up taking lessons and then went on to get degrees in performance and music theory. This helps when I teach but when I play and write, I just fucken go with my alcohol-fueled gut.

Long story short:
Just as I got to know Dark Funeral we met up for a DF gig in Stockholm and eventually, for some reason, Caligula and I came up with the brilliant idea of putting corpsepaint on me.
Done.
Then Caligula starts a song with the words "This one is for Lord K Philipson". And there I stood, in all my corpsepaint - watching one of my fave bands play.
It stuck since then. _________________

Hey man, hope this doesn't come off as me being a smart ass. Total serious question:
What's the feeling like to write music that you fuckin' love so much? I mean, you talk to most musicians and they do nothing but bitch and moan about how "oh, i can never listen to my own bands material, I always hear things that could be different and better". You obviously don't have that problem.
Also, AME is the second greatest album ever recorded, just slightly behind the new one (saying this based on confidence in the true Lord), so what's it like to know that you have penned songs that shit not only all over the bible, but Reign in Blood and all the other "classics" as well? |

Wow, damn... Thanx, man.
When it comes to the fact that most musicians "can't listen to their own shit"... That's beyond me. I live this shit, I listen to it on an almost daily basis for one reason: It's everything I wanna hear in music. It holds everything that make my penis move in weird directions.
I love working with the best people around to fulfill my vision of what I wanna hear. Creating stuff for TPH is what's most important to me (together with listening to Vanessa Carlton - she's up there as well) and I love to hear what we have created. I have no problem at all with that. I seriously believe that no one dissects one's own music like I do. I listen to it (when composing new stuff, that is) all the time for the sake of improving what we have done, you know. I always hear stuff that needs adding/removing/improving within our shit. I love working like that.
I can't say I listen to the older material too much these days (becoz it's finished and that work is done), but when I put it on I remember exactly what I thought when composing it, and get a huge smile out of that.
We can't create a new "Reign in blood" or whatever, it's a nice compliment though, but what counts for me is that I know we deliver our best shit with every album. As long as it feels like that to me, that's all that counts.
I love our stuff, or I wouldn't spend so much time doing it. _________________

1. Just curious, how old were you when you started working on your first Metal project? I recently started one myself (age: 19), thought maybe it's a late start.
2. When you compose, do you write lyrics first or music first? or is it depends on the songs, situations?
3-1. Would it be hard to keep up a studio band when I cannot play Guitars myself but just Vocals, Piano and some Programming?
3-2: What program do you use for your music, does it have any drum-machine or guitar-machine or whatever the heck you call them.

I started playing some hardrock (as a drummer) back in 1988. Later the same year I saw Swedish grindcore band Filthy Christians on Swedish TV and me and some friends decided that it'd be fun to play something harder than regular hardrock. We didn't sound anything like mentioned band though, haha... We sounded like shit. But, 1988 is the year when I started writing and playing my own material.

Always music first. Always. I didn't in the past though. Then I wrote lyrics for the hardrock band and told the vocalist/guitarist to fit them into any new songs he made. The lyrics were fine for the time being, the music was so not the least fine.

If you want guitars in it and wanna play them yourself, I guess it'll be a bitch. Besides that, get some talented friend do play what you want.

I work with Reason 3.0, Cubase SX and Guitarrig at home when I compose. It has everything I need. _________________

Lemme see, since I was around... eh... young. Hmm, I think I started playing guitar for real at the age of... like... eh... 16 or 17... Something like that. And still I can't play solos.
