I'm actually tempted to create ONE song and charge 10.000$ just to piss people like that off. Thinking about it...I actually have a track here, anyone wants it, it's gonna cost you 10.000$. (Awesome track, promise.) Raising brows

Don't own the new TPH album myself, actually just own one (might be two) with the song The Divine Burning Of Angels. The other song I remember is Blessed are we to be lied upon. Just these tracks in themselves were worth the price (think it was like 8 euro).

Does this entitle me to a free link to the new album?

Am I a "real fan" of TPH? No, can't say that I am. But THEY created it and THEY have the right to do whatever the fuck they want with it. I have the choice of accepting it and get the album...or not. How hard can it be?

And yes, I am curious to see if there is any of the "above mentioned songs" on it. But since I know TPH hold a very high "low-mark" it's worth the bloody money when I do decide I want to check it out. Or actually sit down with a friend that owns it and listen to it and THEN decide.

Okey, since I don't have any friends and it's almost impossible to go to a store and spend hours prelistening shit these days I'll have to part with, oh the cost Embarassed

, some money to hear it. And did I mention the cost? THE COST! I would have to skip at least 3 beers at the pub in order to get it!

Do reviewers actually do that? As in, go around begging bands for free shit to review? I can understand working out deals with labels or something to get bunches of shit sent to you. After all, reviews are promotion and promotion is a label's only function. I can understand a possible deal between a label and a magazine that says "If you wanna review the new Slipknot, you're gonna have to review this new band we signed, Shitpot, as well." That I get. But who goes around begging random unaffiliated bands for free shit and whining when they decline?

This case is actually worse. It's offensive. This is a band that has decided to take a stand against the industry and make a point of removing all related slime from the equation with the album you're asking for. The entire point of he TCRA saga was that this was an intimate effort by and for people who truly cared about it. What kind of self-absorbed prick considers their own opinion to be more valuable than preserving the integrity of that effort? Think of it really. "Hey there, how about you send me the last chapter of your life's work that was only made possible by a legion of people that it has touched over the course of 10 years... so I GET TO JUDGE IT." We're talking about a bunch of complete fucking strangers that have nothing in common except for their love for this music and the desire to hear more of it. If you don't understand why this album wasn't sent out to you or why random reviews don't mean anything to its creator, then I don't care for your opinion of it anyway. You're already missing the point before hearing a single note.
