What I am reviewing here is another fine effort from the Anaalistic boys, Mick and Dave, allied with three other lunatics of their mettle (fuck off, bad pronunciation pun… Go away!).
Now, this is some fuck-ugly grindcore mixed with some fuck-ugly-penile sludge (smeg?). This band praises everything ugly and are proud to be loathsome and disgusting. This means we should bow down before these revolting Brits. Or not entirely. The sole mission of Mistress is to take every possible essence from the musical anus and sling it into everyone’s faces. Or better yet, cover the entire world with the shit. I can even find some punkish vibes to this filth, and that’s not a bad thing. I’m sure Mick wouldn’t kill me because I think he’s into that to some degree. Dave might be another story, you never know. You’d never know with any of these lads, as they are some of the most unpredictable beings to walk the earth in human form.
Mistress is another band very familiar with the art of variety. On one hand we have some sludge that is faster than diarrhea (“Happily Ever Disaster”, “Fucking Fuck” and “Me Ves Y Suffres” for example). Then we have slow and eerie churners such as “Shovel”. This is not quite as vicious as Anaal Nathrakh but it’s still cruel enough to be a keeper in the filthy side of the musical world. “Why Don’t You Just Fuck Off!” demonstrates the fact that Mick and Dave have not forgotten about Anaal Nathrakh while working with Mistress, as the Cunt screams viciously like he normally does in that band.
There are also a fair few falsettos used in this album, especially on “Whiskey Tastes Better”. I kinda like them because they’re simply disturbing as fuck. This sort of music should make one happy with the prospect of swimming in a tank filled with hog excrement and semen.
