Torchia: One It’s the explosive freshness and the feeling that these Finnish really want to set the world on fire that makes “oNe” worth a damn. Whether they achieve that or not is a mere anecdote after putting out such an honest work if you ask me.

Begrafven: Begrafven I just fucking hope they don’t change the concept and production at all when making their full length album. Begrafven, my ladies, is not doing something new, and there are no fucking reasons for them to do so either!

Children Of Madness: Howl from beyond I usually like Finnish bands, even if I don’t like their music every time, cause 90% of them have really good productions. You can’t succeed all the time though, and some dudes have too make way for the others. Just like in a large scale war, some people become foot soldiers and are destined to be cannon fodder.

Necrophor: Verbum vexillifer Necrophor, a black metal outfit from the corner of I don’t fucking know and No information provided to the reviewer, released a demo called “Verbum Vexillifer“, and not only is it shit we’ve all heard before – it’s criminally shit we’ve all heard before.

Seven Against: III I’m not a super-fan of the nu-metal-ish atmosphere that flows generously in this recording. I wont say so much more about this, I feel no strong need trying to dissect this more.

Forlorn Chambers: Unborn and hollow Third song “Desolate resolution” is the best one in my opinion, it’s slower in comparison with the first two songs, and they gather some cred in my house by doing so. It also contains some nifty bass work and I actually was a bit impressed by that part.

Black Overdrive: Demo In fact, the whole record sounds like Lemmy meets the Sabbies, you know. Not only for the vocal style, but also for the intensity and the uninhibited attitude that lies on the very core of it. Sadly and although they aren’t quite bad, I believe the vocals are the weakest point on this one.

Told By Blood: Steamworks They’re not breaking any new ground, but I think they’d be a great entry level band to give to your little brother to listen to, nothing too offensive with lots of melody and airy keyboards, yet still having all the musical spunk to get your mother upset.

Sorkka: Ensimmäinen jae The vocals are all in Finnish, which in my opinion is fantastic, I dig hearing people get passionately upset in foreign languages instead of faking it in bad Engrish, and it seems to give the music a different and unique flow. I will buy their album when some record label releases it.
